My new C2D-powered Rig
Jan 31st, 2007 by ck
After two years of using a P4-powered rig, it’s finally the time for me to make a change! The whole package isn’t cheap, I’ve paid a whopping RM3K for it (just the rig with Vista OEM license). I’ve to agree that money is hard to gain, easy to lose. But heck, sometimes it’s just good to motivate myself by buying something I really like.
Here’s the complete specifications for my rig:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13GHz
- Intel DP965LTCK C2D mainboard
- 2GB Apacer DDR2 667Mhz RAM (2 X 1GB)
- Gigabyte 7300GS 256MB DDR2 graphic card (geez, I know it sucks, but it’s merely a transitional card :p)
- Seagate 250GB SATA HDD
- Samsung Writemaster 18X DVD-RW
- Front USB Casing with 300w PSU
- Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OEM (will probably write a review article)
It’s really hard to tell you the overall performance now, but I’m sure it’s hell more powderful than my previous rig considering it’s a major upgrade. And I feel happy because I’ve achieved one of the targets in my 2007 New Year Resolutions just before January ends :-)

not taking palit? :P but i recommend to get a branded power supply unit coz it spoilt very easily (for cap ayam)
