National day is around the corner, show your patriotism already!

It’s been a really, really busy period for me lately (working on different projects concurrently), that I do not have time to keep myself updated with all the tech-related news. Not wanting to be outdated, however, I managed to spend some time in my Google Reader these few days and here are the interesting articles that I’ve read through:

I’m actually back from Sydney already, just that I’m either too busy with my work or having fun with my colleagues <_< And guess what, my weekend is going to be flooded with activities too, but I somehow manage to write something here to indicate I’m actually still alive and kicking.

Colleagues overdose isn’t necessarily a good thing, but one of the activities in this weekend that’s worth mentioning is Zorbing – which is basically… er…. rolling downhill inside a large sphere called Zorb. You can take a look here if you’re interested – the location is just at Lake Garden. I’ll update you with real picture instead of the one below -_-”

By the way, I would also like to take this opportunity to say sorry to some of my friends whom I didn’t pay much attention to recently, but that’s obviously not because you’re forgotten. I’ll catch up with you as soon as I’ve the freedom to breath, because I truly understand the importance of friendship and I do not want to be a hypocrite.

But for now, I’ll need to take some more nap before my outing later, see ya guys!!!

As promised, Pictar update:

It rains here from time to time and my supposedly great weekend in Sydney is ruined! I spent a lot of money shopping instead!!!!!!

But anyway, AT LEAST:

For Saturday, I managed to go to Darling Harbour with some help from my umbrella (turned downside up couple of times because of the wind)

And visited the Wildlife World by paying AUD24 (T_T)

And I saw Koala! Cute cute!

And I saw Wallaby!

At night, it was still rainy but I managed to walk around the area of The Rocks, nothing really special there as those shops were already closed.

Sunday – Visited my cousin, cousin-in-law and my uncle (not in pic) and she served me some strange pumpkin soup XD

Tapao something cheap cheap for my dinner but it doesn’t look very interesting, does it? *rolleyes*

And hey, I need to work already. What? Nah, that’s not a Windows Live Messenger :-p

Conclusion: Not too bad, but there are two many places that I haven’t visited (like Bondi Beach and Royal Botanical Gardens etc.) I’m not sure if I’m still staying here next week, if that’s the case I’ll definitely have more to write :-) Bye bye

• Spent a great weekend with my parents in KL
• Bought a few things:

  • Winfast 8500GT Graphic Card
    
  • Some clothes, from SEED in particular
  • Some toiletries like face lotion and pore pack
• Spent a big portion of my time playing CnC3 and Fifa 2007
• Challenged a friend and won it! Won’t tell you what is it about though.
• Wrote some tech related articles in my blog, finally!
• Did almost nothing in the office
• Went Rum Jungle as well as watched Shrek3 with colleagues
• Spent a long and boring weekend sleeping at house -.-
• To be added (if any)

• Watch HK series… typical auntie activity XD
• Play CnC3 Tiberium War… typical geek activity ^^
• Instant Messenging… have been doing this all week long anyway <_<
• Go shopping? No!!!! Gonna save money already!
• Clean my house – did that in the morning :D
• Sleep and relax -_-
• Blog – what I’m currently doing  :-)
• Blow water in LYN  ;-)
• Call my friends and disturb ‘em :-p
• Call it a day by reading all my unread RDs

Interesting? I can survive without dates too. Can you?

Let me start with sharing my experience and thought for my 25 days in Mumbai. Working with people here is never an easy task, as there’s a big difference in term of culture. I never feel comfortable with the massive traffic and I feel bad for the amount of people living in poverty in the city. I don’t enjoy the hot weather and terrible air quality in some areas in the city (especially where there’s ongoing construction work), neither do I enjoy the feeling of staying in hotel and being so miserable alone. However, I shouldn’t ignore the good side also – the experience I’ve gained from working with people here is invaluable, the mangoes here are excellent, the books I got nearby the CST are really cheap, I’m able to save some money from my allowance, and most important is, I’ve really learned to appreciate what I have now after seeing the poor people living in slum area.

For my last lunch in this Mumbai trip, I rewarded myself with a lobster lunch (around RM80 after conversion) for all my hard work here. It doesn’t taste all that great but still I enjoyed it a lot ^^ Simply because I’m in a fantastic mood I guess.

Of course, that’s mainly because I’m really looking forward to be back to KL again. As usual, after a long trip abroad, I miss my friends, family and the foods badly. Definitely I’ll try my best to take the initiative to ask my friends out, because otherwise it will be extremely hard for me to do so when I’m in a project. I’m also planning to do some crazy shopping in the town (looking for a camera, graphic card upgrade and some new clothes) but I hope I won’t overspend.

Argghhh, there are too many things for me to do, but I feel really happy now! Not everyone can understand the feeling of a poor guy who has spent 50 days in Mumbai since early March 2007. But heck, I guess I gonna stop it here as my laptop is sort of running out of battery.
